Public Emergency Planning Meetings
JCEMHS believes that, to be effective, emergency response planning must be directly linked to the risks and needs of the community it serves. While a great deal of data collection and analysis has taken place to better understand the risks and needs of Johnson County, additional work is needed to ensure our community-wide disaster planning is as accurate and comprehensive as it needs to be. As such, JCEMHS would like to encourage Johnson County citizens to become involved with the planning process.
JCEMHS will be holding a number of Public Emergency Planning Meetings throughout the duration of the County Emergency Operations Plan (CEOP) update. Each meeting will consist of an overview of the current status of the planning update process, a review of any significant changes to the CEOP, and an open discussion regarding any emergency planning issues participants would like to discuss.
If you are interested in participating in the Public Emergency Planning meetings please register here to participate. This registration also includes nine quick questions that will help us gain a better sense of the public's view of disaster preparedness and planning in Johnson County. We really appreciate you taking the time to fill this out.
